Xanadu follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mount Olympus to Venice Beach, California in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time – the first ROLLER DISCO! (Hey, it's 1980!) But, when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation, and chaos abounds.

Audition Preparation
Everything you need to do to prepare...
-Find a pop song (from the 80s OR Musical Theatre OR Disney) that showcases your voice. This should be a song that you are COMFORTABLE singing. You are not straining, you are not yelling, this should feel EASY
-Check YouTube to see if a Karaoke track is available. This is what you will be singing with at your audition. If you can't find one, pick a new song that has one available.
-Ms. Macholl will be asking you what song you are singing BEFORE auditions, so be prepared to share the link/title with her.
-Prepare your favorite section of the song, this could be the beginning, the middle, the end-your choice! Whatever you think shows off your range. You are not singing the full song. Just a 30-40 second snippet.
-Memorize the song cut. We only will be hearing about 30 seconds to 50 seconds of the song, so please don't get offended if we have to cut you off.
